Running Time: 91 mins.
Scooby Doo will probably do no wrong for the fans, may win converts from the younger audiences and attract audiences who remember it from TV days.
For this non-fan who missed the series in its television days, this episode was more enjoyable than the first. The old gang are back again, but Freddie Prinze Jr is not forceful as the leader of Mystery Inc, nor does he generate chemistry with his real-life wife, Sarah Michelle Geller. By contrast, Linda Cardellini as Velma is more more lively and Matthew Lillard as Shaggy is irrepressible. (Scooby Doo's charms elude me!!).
There is a stronger supporting cast this time round with Seth Green good as the museum manager who finds all his Mystery Inc exhibits going beserk and Alicia Silverstone as an intrusive TV reporter.
What is enjoyable are the special effects as monsters swirl around the place and give rise to lots of chases. And there you have it.
