As this newsletter lands in your inbox, the National Guidelines that the ACCLPM have been working on for several years is being finalized and prepared for launching! The journey to this point has been long, and at times arduous, however we believe that this document will be inspirational, informative and practical for the many and varied lay pastoral ministers across this vast land, as well for parish priest and pastoral councils, for diocesan offices and all who work with lay ministers. This is and will always be a working document, our hope is that it will grow and change as the needs and direction of the Church grows and changes. The journey continues with the development of a webpage with material to support the guidelines.
The Australian Catholic Council for Lay Pastoral Ministry is delighted to be launching Faithful Stewards of God’s Grace during Proclaim 2018. We would like to present a hard copy to a representative from each of the dioceses during the launch. If you are a participant at Proclaim and would like to receive your diocesan copy click here There are limited hard copies available, however the entire document will be on the webpage, available after the Proclaim launch.
As we launch Faithful Stewards of God’s Grace , let us pause in gratitude for all ministers of the Gospel, lay, members of religious institutes and ordained, those who have going before us and forged the paths, those who toil in a labour of love today, and those who will come with fresh vision into the future. Let us take delight in the words of Pope Francis, “Whenever we make the effort to return to the source and to recover the original freshness of the Gospel, new avenues arise, new paths of creativity open up, with different forms of expression, more eloquent signs and words with new meaning for today’s world.” Evangelii Gaudium #11
